»feedbackArray« is an interactive sound installation in which acoustic signals change the perception of space and time.
It consists of six similarly constructed modules arranged in a grid. Each module contains a sound-generating mechanism and a sensor that registers floor vibrations in its immediate vicinity. People walking around stimulate the sensors nearby, which in turn trigger sounds of varying duration and intensity in the respective module. This creates an immersive, ever-changing soundscape in which new perspectives on spatial and temporal modes of perception can be explored.
