Large-Half-Marathon-Circuit is a performance dealing with the relation between individual human beings and scientific large-scale experiments in the field of quantum physics.
It was realized in the Swiss-French border region near the city of Geneva where CERN is operating one of the largest particle accelerators in the world.
Large-Half-Marathon-Circuit is based on the attempt of running a full cycle around the 27km long accelerator above ground.
The performance consists of several chapters including general preparations, training sessions and the circuits actual execution.
Everything has been continuously documented and published by means of a weblog.
A video shows the overground scenery through the lens of a head-mounted action camera.
The images context intensifies contrasts between abstract concepts of quantum physics and our immediate encounter with the world around us.
